They are committed to maintaining the highest standards of compliance and ensuring smooth operations across their business.Job DescriptionKey ResponsibilitiesRegulatory Compliance & Governance· Maintain compliance framework covering:· Data protection (UK GDPR, DPA, PECR)· Consumer protection (DMCCA)· Advertising compliance (ASA/CAP)· Fraud prevention requirements· Ensure business practices, policies, and customer interactions meet regulatory standards· Provide clear, commercially minded, pragmatic compliance guidancePrivacy & Data ProtectionOwn the organisation's data protection framework and policiesEnsure all uses of personal data are lawful, transparent, and compliant· Oversee Subject Access Requests (SARs), law enforcement data requests and data breach reporting· Advise on privacy risks across business and marketing activityConsumer Protection & Marketing Compliance· Ensure compliance with DMCCA and ASA/CAP Code· Provide commercial oversight of customer and marketing activity· Support resolution of customer queries and complaintsFraud Prevention & RiskWork with the fraud team to protect customers, suppliers, and the businessEnsure controls are effective, proportionate and aligned to evolving threatsRegulatory Engagement· Manage relationships with Trading Standards, ICO, and ASA· Handle regulatory enquiries, investigations, and reporting· Represent the business in external communicationsStakeholder EngagementPartner with including Directors and leadership teams· Collaborate across Customer Services, Retail, Marketing, IT, HR and Group functions (Privacy, Legal, Risk)The Successful ApplicantEssentialMinimum 5+ years' experience in a regulatory compliance roleCommercially minded.Strong expertise in:Data protection and privacy regulationConsumer protection legislation (including DMCCA)Marketing/advertising compliance (ASA/CAP)Proven experience engaging directly with regulatorsStrong understanding of fraud risk and prevention frameworks, ability to balance regulatory requirements with commercial objectivesExperience managing high-risk issues, complaints, and regulatory enquiriesDesirableExperience in a large or medium sized business providing services to consumersFormal compliance, legal or risk qualification (e.g. ICA, CIPP/E, or equivalent)What's on OfferCompetitive salary ranging from £55,000 to £65,000 per annum, with bonusHybrid working arrangement for improved work-life balance.Permanent position with opportunities for career progression.Inclusive and supportive company culture.This is an excellent opportunity for a Compliance Manager to make a meaningful impact within the retail industry.
