As a Compliance Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the firm's client and matter onboarding processes. Working within a busy Risk & Compliance team, you will help ensure regulatory obligations are met by carrying out client due diligence, assessing risk, conducting conflict checks and assisting with wider compliance initiatives.This position would suit a detail-oriented individual looking to develop a long-term career within legal risk and compliance.

Job Description

  • Perform client due diligence and anti-money laundering (AML) checks on new and existing clients.
  • Review and assess client and matter risk profiles, preparing clear findings and recommendations.
  • Conduct conflict of interest searches using specialist systems and evaluate search results.
  • Assist with the resolution of potential conflicts by collaborating with legal teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate client records and support ongoing monitoring activities.
  • Escalate higher-risk matters and compliance concerns where appropriate.
  • Provide guidance and support to colleagues on client onboarding and acceptance procedures.
  • Contribute to departmental projects, process improvements and compliance initiatives.
  • Keep up to date with regulatory developments and industry best practice.

The Successful Applicant

  • Degree educated or able to demonstrate relevant experience within a compliance, risk or regulatory environment.
  • Previous experience within a law firm would be advantageous.
  • Understanding of AML regulations, client due diligence and conflicts management.
  • Exposure to systems such as Intapp, SmartSearch, Orbis or similar platforms would be beneficial.
  • Strong analytical and investigative skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the business.
  • Organised and capable of managing competing priorities effectively.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive and solutions-focused approach.
  • Strong written communication and reporting skills.
  • Comfortable working independently whilst contributing positively to a team environment.
