Job Description

  • Review financial information, credit reports and supporting documents to assess creditworthiness.
  • Prepare clear credit assessments to support consistent lending and financial decisions.
  • Analyse income, affordability and repayment information to identify potential credit risks.
  • Maintain accurate credit files and ensure information is recorded clearly and promptly.
  • Monitor existing credit information and flag changes that may affect risk decisions.
  • Produce concise reports that explain findings, risks and recommended actions.
  • Work with internal colleagues to gather information needed for credit reviews.
  • Respond to credit-related queries with clear, factual information.

The Successful Applicant

A successful 'Credit Analyst' should have:

  • Experience reviewing financial information and assessing credit risk.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify key trends.
  • Confidence preparing clear written credit assessments and reports.
  • Good attention to detail when checking financial and supporting documentation.
  • Ability to organise credit records and manage several reviews at once.
  • Comfort working with financial data and making evidence-based recommendations.
