As a Credit Control professional in Milton Keynes, you will help keep customer accounts up to date within the FMCG industry by managing credit control activity and accurate records. You will work closely with the Accounting & Finance department to maintain clear account information and support smooth day-to-day operations.

Job Description

  • Review customer account balances and identify overdue amounts for follow-up.
  • Contact customers to discuss outstanding invoices and agree payment arrangements.
  • Keep credit control records accurate, clear and up to date.
  • Monitor payments received and update customer accounts promptly.
  • Investigate account queries and work towards a timely resolution.
  • Maintain clear notes of customer contact and agreed next steps.
  • Work with the Accounting & Finance department to resolve invoice-related queries.
  • Provide accurate account information to support effective Credit Control activity.

The Successful Applicant

A successful 'Credit Control' should have:

  • Experience of managing customer accounts and overdue balances.
  • Confidence contacting customers about outstanding invoices and payments.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and update account information.
  • Experience resolving invoice and account queries.
  • Good numerical skills and attention to detail when reviewing balances.
  • Ability to organise follow-up activity and keep clear customer notes.
