Job Description

Data Architect

    • Develop and maintain enterprise-wide data architecture frameworks that are secure, scalable and aligned with organisational and regulatory requirements.
    • Design logical and physical data models, data flows and integration patterns across platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, data lakes and data warehouses.
    • Partner with analytics, engineering and business teams to ensure seamless data integration and the availability of high-quality, accessible data.
    • Implement strong data governance and compliance practices, ensuring adherence to data protection, security and industry standards.
    • Evaluate, recommend and support the adoption of modern data technologies and tools, including Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Copilot and emerging AI/ML solutions.
    • Lead data platform modernisation initiatives, including optimisation of existing environments and supporting transitions from legacy systems to cloud‑based solutions.
    • Provide clear technical guidance to cross‑functional teams, translating complex data and AI concepts into actionable insights for a range of stakeholders.
    • Monitor and optimise data systems to enhance performance, reliability, accuracy and operational efficiency.
    • Support the integration of machine learning and AI solutions, ensuring ethical governance, ongoing monitoring and responsible deployment.
    • Lead, develop and motivate a high‑performing data team, fostering an inclusive, collaborative and continuously improving culture.

    The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in data architecture and data management, with hands‑on experience designing scalable, secure and high‑quality data solutions in modern cloud environments. They will be highly proficient in data modelling, integration patterns and analytics‑enabling platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Power BI and related data technologies.
