Job Description

  • Develop and maintain accurate demand ecommerce forecasts using sales history, promotions, market trends and customer demand insights.
  • Convert demand forecasts into purchasing and replenishment plans to ensure optimal stock availability while controlling inventory investment.
  • Manage inventory performance, including stock health, stock cover, inventory turns, and reduction of excess and obsolete stock.
  • Support new product launches, seasonal peaks and promotional activities through effective demand and supply planning.
  • Contribute to weekly and monthly S&OP processes by preparing reporting, highlighting risks, and presenting recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align forecasts with retailer demand plans and business priorities.
  • Produce and analyse key planning KPIs while driving continuous process improvements.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Ecommerce Demand Planner should have:

  • Experience in demand planning or inventory planning, ideally within ecommerce or supply chain roles.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret sales data and forecast demand effectively.
  • Proficiency in Excel and relevant software, and tools for demand planning.
  • Excellent communication skills for working with cross-functional teams.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
