Job Description

  • Manage monthly payroll cycles for employees in Germany, Austria, and France, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain Workday HRIS data integrity for hires, terminations, salary updates, and job changes.
  • Process bonuses, deductions, non‑cash benefits, and holiday pay.
  • Act as first‑line support for payroll queries via the internal ticketing system.
  • Process public and private health insurance documentation and ensure correct coding and deductions.
  • Collaborate with payroll providers, HR teams, and local experts to ensure compliance with relevant laws and CBAs.
  • Prepare general ledger files, contribute to payroll account reconciliations, and ensure timely tax and pension submissions.
  • Support system updates, configuration changes, and payroll platform migrations.
  • Ensure GDPR compliance and confidentiality

The Successful Applicant

  • Fluent in German and confident in English (written and verbal).
  • 3+ years of advanced experience in German OR French payroll.
  • International Payroll preferred
  • Strong understanding of EMEA tax and wage laws, including benefits‑in‑kind and shadow payroll.
  • Skilled with Workday, DATEV, and Excel (intermediate to advanced level).
  • Organised, analytical, and capable of handling a high‑volume, multi‑country payroll portfolio.
