Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will play a pivotal part in expanding the firm's ESG offering and embedding ESG thinking across all practice areas.

Job Description

The OpportunityAs ESG continues to shape the regulatory and commercial landscape, this role offers the chance to lead the firm's ESG knowledge agenda and influence both internal strategy and client thinking. You'll act as the central point for ESG legal and regulatory analysis, ensuring that partners, associates, and clients have access to top‑tier insight, training, and resources.

Key ResponsibilitiesInternal Knowledge Development

  • Build and maintain high‑quality ESG knowledge resources (precedents, practice notes, checklists, toolkits).
  • Work with lawyers across practice groups to collect, refine and manage know‑how.
  • Support internal ESG compliance initiatives.
  • Track UK, EU and global ESG regulatory developments and provide timely updates.
  • Produce firmwide ESG current‑awareness bulletins and training sessions.
  • Collaborate with Research & Information Services to strengthen ESG monitoring systems.
  • Support the ESG Knowledge Partner with meeting content, updates, and Q&A sessions.
  • Provide technical ESG guidance to lawyers across departments.



External / Client-Facing

  • Produce a monthly client ESG bulletin showcasing regulatory developments and thought leadership.
  • Identify opportunities for client training, briefings, and advisory support.
  • Contribute to pitches with ESG expertise and insights.
  • Help build the firm's ESG market profile through articles, social posts and commentary.
  • Advise clients directly on specialist ESG matters.



General Knowledge Strategy

  • Lead and support broader knowledge initiatives across the Business Advisory and Transaction Services division.
  • Contribute to firmwide strategic ESG projects.

The Successful Applicant

Person Specification

  • Qualified solicitor with 8+ years' PQE (PSL/KDL experience preferred but not essential).
  • Strong grounding in ESG regulation and practical ESG knowledge.
  • Excellent communication, research and analytical skills.
  • Confident advising senior stakeholders and external clients.
  • Commercially minded, proactive, organised and adaptable.
  • Skilled at building networks and promoting knowledge-sharing culture.
  • Interest in using technology to improve processes and efficiency.
  • Aligned with professional standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., SRA).
