About Our Client

As a Finance Analyst you will support the Senior Financial Planning & Analyst Manager in meetings, by providing them with key financial analysis to allow them to offer advice and financial perspective to support decision-making. Recognising the importance of cross-functional collaboration, you will work to build, maintain, and harness strong relationships

Job Description

  • Responsible for preparing monthly management reports, including variance analysis in line with the month end timetable, alongside preparation of month end commentary, providing insights and suggestions for remedial activities.
  • Focus of the role is to provide overall financial insights into business drivers in order to deliver and develop the strategic objectives and annual budget.
  • Support the development of annual budgets and forecasts. Collaborating with stakeholders to gather inputs and validate assumptions.
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of financial data across systems and reports, implementing improvements to reporting processes and promoting automation initiatives.
  • Challenge unusual P&L movements, forecasts and fluctuations to ensure forecast and actual financial performance is robust.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Finance Analyst should have:

  • A strong background in accounting or finance with relevant qualifications.
  • Studying towards an accountancy qualification (ACCA/CIMA)
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong MS Excel skills.
  • Ability to interpret and present financial data effectively.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
