Save Job Back to Search Job Description Summary Similar JobsPartner with senior leaders to drive performance and strategic growth!Lead operational finance and costing in a highly visible role!About Our ClientThis organisation based in Cambridgeshire operates within the manufacturing industry and is committed to driving progress in its field.Job DescriptionCollaborate with operational and functional teams to develop, manage and challenge budgets, forecasts and long-term financial plans.Analyse financial and operational data to provide actionable insights, identify risks and opportunities, and support business decision-making.Partner with senior stakeholders across Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Engineering to evaluate business performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.Prepare detailed financial reports, KPIs and business performance reviews, presenting findings and recommendations to senior leadership.Support strategic initiatives through robust financial analysis, business case development and scenario modelling.Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards and company policies.Monitor and manage cost controls across departments, driving accountability and cost optimisation.Lead financial planning and analysis activities to support the development and execution of business strategy.Provide expert support on cost accounting within a manufacturing environment, including inventory valuation, standard costing, variance analysis and product costing.Partner closely with Operations teams to deliver operations costing analysis, identifying manufacturing efficiencies, cost reduction opportunities and productivity improvements.Build strong relationships with non-finance stakeholders, translating complex financial information into clear, concise and meaningful business insights to support decision-making.The Successful ApplicantA successful Finance Business Partner should have:Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).Demonstrable experience in business partnering senior stakeholders, influencing decision-making and driving business performance.Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and performance analysis.Experience supporting Operations, Manufacturing or Supply Chain functions within a manufacturing environment.Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, including standard costing, inventory valuation, product costing and variance analysis.Proven experience delivering operations costing analysis, identifying manufacturing efficiencies, cost reduction opportunities and productivity improvements.Excellent analytical and financial modelling skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear and actionable business insights.Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to effectively engage, challenge and influence non-finance stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.Experience of driving process improvements and supporting strategic business initiatives.A collaborative and hands-on approach, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving business environment.What's on OfferA competitive salary ranging from £65,000 to £80,000, dependent on the level of experience.Benefits package to be confirmed.A permanent position in the manufacturing industry.If you're interested in this Finance Business Partner role, apply now.People are at the heart of Michael Page.
