Job Description

On a day to day basis the Finance Director, CFO Designate will be responsible for;

  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the organisation's objectives.
  • Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership to drive business growth.
  • Manage financial risks and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Lead and develop the accounting and finance team, fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to key stakeholders, ensuring clarity and precision.
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimisation and improve financial performance.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support business operations and decision-making processes.
  • Working with Group on funding strategies, developing banking relationships and a very high volume of transactions while ensuring adequate capital and liquidity

The Successful Applicant

A successful Finance Director - CFO Designate should have:

  • Professional qualifications in accounting or finance (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Extensive leadership experience in accounting and finance within a consumer finance or unsecured lending business.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute financial strategies to drive business success.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on detail and accuracy.
  • Experience in managing and mentoring high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders.
