Job Description

  • Support the Group Financial Controller in managing financial reporting, cashflow, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Manage the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Support the implementation of automation and process improvement initiatives within the finance function.
  • Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide strategic financial advice to support business objectives.
  • Monitor financial performance and implement cost control measures.
  • Monitor cash flow, optimise working capital, and assist in treasury management.
  • Ensure adherence to financial regulations and reporting standards.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve financial processes.
  • Lead and mentor the finance team to achieve departmental goals.
  • Work closely with external auditors and manage audit processes.

The Successful Applicant

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards (IFRS/UK GAAP) and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience in financial planning, budgeting, and cash flow management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills with the ability to manipulate large data sets.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective stakeholder management.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and ERP solutions.
