City of London Permanent £60,000 - £65,000 per year View Job Description
Qualified or QBE Financial Accountant is required to support a finance function within a regulated banking environment, covering regulatory reporting, financial accounting, tax compliance and financial statements. The role offers strong exposure to senior stakeholders and is the number 2 in the finance team.

About Our Client

UK Branch of an International Bank, offices in the City of London (Liverpool Street).

Job Description

    • Prepare financial accounting information and regulatory submissions.
    • Support reporting requirements for UK financial regulators.
    • Assist with corporation tax and VAT preparation and submissions.
    • Produce daily P&L reporting, analysis and commentary.
    • Prepare financial statements and support external audits.
    • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls.
    • Investigate accounting queries and resolve issues with stakeholders.
    • Contribute to finance projects, process improvements and documentation updates.



The Successful Applicant

    • Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA accountant (or QBE)
    • Experience within the finance function of al banking organisation or broader Financial Services sector
    • Ideally some knowledge of regulatory reporting or hedge accounting - Desirable
    • Keen to do a broad hands on role, covering several different areas within the finance function
    • Happy to offer support and guidance to junior team members
    • Able to manage priorities, meet deadlines and operate in a controlled environment.
