Job Description

  • Prepare accurate financial statements in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely reporting.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with tax regulations and statutory requirements.
  • Provide financial analysis to support decision-making processes.
  • Reconcile accounts, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies promptly.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to improve financial processes and controls.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards and industry regulations.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Financial Accountant should have:

  • A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
  • Previous experience in financial reporting and compliance within a relevant industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools.
  • An understanding of accounting standards and tax regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Able to commute to our client's office in Derby.
