Save Job Back to Search Job Description Summary Similar JobsBe the Finance Director's right-hand person in a growing international business.Make a genuine impact beyond the numbers.About Our ClientAn exciting opportunity to join a growing international organisation at a time of transformation, where you can make a real impact on both the finance function and wider business.Job DescriptionAs Financial Accountant, you'll work closely with senior finance leadership to ensure accurate reporting across the business whilst supporting the development of the wider finance team.Key responsibilities will include:Preparation and review of monthly management accountsOwnership of balance sheet reconciliations and financial controlsSupporting quarter-end reporting to the German parent companyIntercompany accounting and subsidiary balance confirmationsVAT reporting and complianceProducing monthly forecasts and supporting budgeting activitiesAnalysing gross profit margins and identifying opportunities for improvementProviding technical accounting support across the finance teamReviewing processes and implementing improvements to increase efficiency and accuracyActing as a key point of contact between the Finance Director and the wider finance teamThe Successful ApplicantWe're looking for a technically strong accountant who enjoys getting into the detail whilst also bringing fresh ideas and commercial insight.You'll ideally have:ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualificationStrong financial reporting and month-end experienceKnowledge of group reporting within an international businessExperience of intercompany accounting and subsidiary reportingGood VAT knowledgeExperience supporting budgeting and forecasting processesA proactive mindset with a desire to improve processesStrong communication skills and the confidence to challenge where appropriateA hands-on approach and willingness to support and develop junior team membersWhat's on OfferPermanent role with a salary ranging from £45,000 to £50,000 dependent on the level of experience.Opportunities to contribute to a key function within the recycling industry.Based in Cannock onsite 5 days per week, with the chance to work in a supportive finance team.Monday - Thursday: 8.00am - 4.00pmFriday: 8.00am - 2.00pmThis is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified accountant looking to step into a highly visible role where they can combine technical expertise, commercial thinking and process improvement within an international environment.If you're interested in this role, apply now.People are at the heart of Michael Page.
