Financial Controller (Hybrid)

Financial Reporting and Governance

• Take ownership of all financial reporting activities, including monthly management accounts, statutory submissions, and consolidated group results.
• Ensure all reporting meets the required standards under IFRS and UK GAAP, as well as relevant regulatory frameworks.
• Uphold strong internal controls and governance processes across the finance function to safeguard accuracy and compliance.

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead and inspire a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and structured development opportunities.
• Build a culture that prioritises accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the finance team.

Operational Finance Management

• Oversee day‑to‑day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Manage relationships with external stakeholders such as auditors, banking partners, and advisory firms.
• Champion system and process enhancements that improve efficiency and support future organisational growth.

Strategic Finance Support

• Work closely with the CFO and Director of Finance to deliver meaningful financial analysis that informs strategic decisions.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and long‑term planning cycles, offering clear insights and data-driven recommendations.
• Drive innovation in the finance function by identifying opportunities for automation and digital optimisation.
