Job Description

  • Oversee and manage the day-to-day accounting and financial operations of the business.
  • Prepare accurate financial reports, forecasts, and budgets to support strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
  • Coordinate and lead the preparation of statutory accounts and liaise with external auditors.
  • Support the senior leadership team with financial insights and recommendations.
  • Implement and improve financial systems, processes, and controls.
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risk effectively.
  • Supervise and mentor the finance team to ensure the delivery of high-quality output.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Financial Controller should have:

  • Professional accounting qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
  • Knowledge of working in a complex, multi-entity or project-based environment - Or, knowledge of a private-equity or VC-backed environment - Essential
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate financial information effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Leadership skills to manage and develop a team.

What's on Offer

  • Salary between £80,000 and £85,000 per annum.
  • Hybrid working arrangement: two days in the office and three days working from home.
  • 30 days of annual leave, plus bank holidays.
  • Non-contributory pension scheme with a 12.5% employer contribution.
