Job Description

This role sits within a dedicated Fire Safety team and will see you acting as the subject matter expert supporting colleagues, contractors and stakeholders across a large residential portfolio.

  • Manage and monitor Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) programmes.
  • Review FRA findings and allocate remedial actions.
  • Track fire safety actions through to completion.
  • Support compliance with the Fire Safety England Regulations (FSER).
  • Undertake fire door inspections and compliance audits.
  • Provide fire safety advice to operational and asset management teams.
  • Investigate fire-related incidents and ensure lessons learned are shared.
  • Work alongside development teams to ensure new-build compliance.
  • Produce compliance reports, KPI data and management information.
  • Deliver fire safety training and awareness sessions.
  • Support resident engagement and fire safety communication.
  • Liaise with external regulators, contractors and enforcement bodies.
  • Assist with building safety audits and assurance activities.

The Successful Applicant

  • Experience managing Fire Risk Assessment programmes.
  • Knowledge of Fire Safety England Regulations.
  • Experience monitoring compliance actions and remedial works.
  • Strong understanding of residential fire safety.
  • Experience within social housing, local authority, public sector or residential property portfolios.
  • Ability to engage effectively with internal stakeholders and residents.
  • Experience reviewing fire safety inspections, fire doors and compartmentation.
  • Confidence producing reports, compliance data and management information.
  • Fire Safety qualification such as NEBOSH Fire, IFE, IFSM or equivalent.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
