Save Job Back to Search Job Description Summary Similar JobsImmediate Start OpportunityFixed Term Contract until September 2027 with possible extensionAbout Our ClientThis not-for-profit organisation operates within Birmingham, focusing on impactful initiatives that make a difference in the community.Job DescriptionCoordinate and support the delivery of a portfolio of strategic projects and initiatives, taking ownership of agreed workstreams and ensuring objectives, milestones, and deadlines are achieved.Develop, maintain, and monitor project plans, action trackers, risk registers, project schedules, and associated project documentation.Track project progress, identify risks, issues, and dependencies, and escalate concerns appropriately to ensure timely resolution.Provide project coordination support for academy transfer activities and other organisational change programmes.Coordinate and support strategic initiatives and other strategic priorities.Manage stakeholder engagement activities, building and maintaining effective relationships with colleagues, schools, external partners, and senior leaders.Collect, analyse, and present data and information to support effective decision-making and project evaluation.Produce project reports, management information, progress updates, training completion statistics, and performance reports for senior leadership and governance committees.Support the development, maintenance, and reporting of the Strategic Management Assurance Dashboard.Coordinate meetings, workshops, consultation sessions, and engagement events, ensuring all logistical arrangements are in place.Organise agendas, prepare meeting papers, take accurate minutes, and monitor the completion of agreed actions.Act as a key point of contact for project stakeholders, providing regular updates and supporting effective communication across the organisation.Support departmental activities, particularly those relating to risk management, compliance, governance, audit requirements, and data protection.Maintain accurate project records and documentation, ensuring information is current, accessible, and compliant with organisational standards.Monitor project performance against agreed objectives, timescales, and key deliverables, highlighting any concerns or opportunities for improvement.Provide general administrative and coordination support to ensure the successful delivery of strategic projects and organisational priorities.The Successful ApplicantEssentialExperienceExperience coordinating projects or project workstreams.Experience organising meetings, workshops, and stakeholder events.Experience maintaining project documentation, risk registers, and action logs.Experience producing reports, management information, and meeting minutes.Strong administrative and organisational experience.KnowledgeUnderstanding of project management principles and practices.Knowledge of administrative and organisational processes.Understanding of data management and reporting requirements.SkillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong organisational and planning abilities.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.High level of accuracy and attention to detail.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.Ability to build effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders.DesirableExperience supporting strategic or organisational change projects.Experience within education, public sector, or not-for-profit organisations.Understanding of governance, compliance, and risk management processes.Knowledge of project management methodologies.Experience producing dashboards and performance reports.Relevant project management qualification.What's on OfferSalary advertised at £35,000 dependent on the level of experience.Fixed-term contract until September 2027 with possible extension.Opportunities to contribute to meaningful projects within Birmingham.Hybrid working on offer.Agile start and finish times an option.If you're interested in this role, apply now.People are at the heart of Michael Page.
