French Speaking Accountant

Reporting to the Financial Controller and working in a team of 5m, this is a newly created role with the following responsibilities:

• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and consolidation schedules
• Act as subject matter expert on French GAAP, supporting UK and US GAAP reporting where required
• Review financial statements prepared by outsourced accountants and ensure compliance with accounting standards
• Support annual statutory accounts, disclosures, and financial statement commentary
• Oversight of general ledger entries, including accruals, prepayments, depreciation, and FX variances
• Assist with finance transformation initiatives, including system upgrades and process automation
• Assist with tax reporting and oversee VAT filings in liaison with external advisors
• Coordinate with external auditors across interim and year-end audits
• Monitor adherence to accounting policies and internal controls
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis
