Save Job Back to Search Job Description Summary Similar JobsFantastic opportunity to join a well-established Private Equity firmPosition offering career development and growthAbout Our ClientOur client is a reputable Private Equity firm with a strong presence in the sector.Job DescriptionSupport the day-to-day accounting and administration of investment funds, ensuring accurate recording of transactions and maintenance of fund records.Assist with the preparation and review of fund NAV calculations, investor reporting, and financial statements.Perform cash, bank, and investment reconciliations, investigating and resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.Prepare journal entries and support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.Liaise with fund administrators, auditors, custodians, and other third-party service providers as required.Support internal and external audit processes by providing documentation and responding to information requests.Assist with ad hoc projects, process improvements, and reporting initiatives across the fund accounting function.The Successful ApplicantA successful Accounting Associate must have:1-2 years of experience gained within an accountancy practice, audit firm, fund administrator, or a similar financial services environment.A strong understanding of accounting principles, including double-entry bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial reporting.Exposure to audit, fund accounting, investment accounting, or financial reporting activities.Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to quickly learn new accounting and reporting systems.Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.A proactive approach to problem-solving and a desire to develop a long-term career within fund accounting.Currently studying towards a professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent)What's on OfferA salary ranging from £36,000 to £40,000, dependent on the level of experience.Permanent position with opportunities for skill development.If you're interested in this role, apply now.People are at the heart of Michael Page.
