This role focuses on building and managing relationships with mid-level donors, trusts, and legacy supporters to increase fundraising income, while developing stewardship programmes and compelling cases for support. It combines strategic planning, donor engagement, and fundraising delivery, including events, grant applications, and impact reporting, to grow and sustain supporter contributions.

Job Description

  • Develop and implement fundraising strategies targeting mid level donors, trusts, and legacy giving.
  • Build and manage a portfolio of mid level donors, cultivating strong relationships to increase income.
  • Design and deliver stewardship programmes to engage, retain, and grow donor support.
  • Lead and execute fundraising activities, including events, networking, and donor engagement initiatives.
  • Research, write, and submit funding applications to trusts, foundations, and dioceses.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create compelling cases for support and impact reports.
  • Manage fundraising budgets, ensuring income targets and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Maintain accurate donor data and reporting using CRM systems, ensuring data protection compliance.

The Successful Applicant

  • Proven experience managing mid-level donor portfolios and achieving fundraising targets.
  • Strong background in writing funding applications and creating donor-facing materials.
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, retain, and grow supporter relationships.
  • Experience designing and delivering effective stewardship and cultivation programmes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Confident public speaker with strong written and presentation abilities.
  • Knowledge of fundraising regulations, GDPR, and donor database systems (e.g. Raiser's Edge).
  • Collaborative, proactive, and adaptable, with alignment to the organisation's values and ethos.

What's on Offer

  • Daily rate equivalent of £41,796 - £44,884
  • Interim contract until April 2027
  • 2 days per week in London office
