In March 2025, Breedon expanded further into the US market with the acquisition of Lionmark Construction Companies LLC for USD$238 million.Job DescriptionReporting into the Head of Tax, the Group Tax Manager will be responsible for:Oversee the preparation and submission of corporate tax returns for the UKSupport with year end current and deferred tax provisioning for the GroupSupport when required with US and Irish taxation issuesAssist and support with VAT return and CIS issuesProvide tax advice and support on a range of ad hoc issues for the GroupIdentify and implement tax planning opportunities to optimise efficiency.Collaborate with internal teams and provide tax training and support to the Group.Manage relationships with external advisors and tax authorities.Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess the impact on the organisation.Develop and maintain internal tax policies and procedures.The Successful ApplicantA successful Group Tax Manager should have:Professional qualifications in accountancy or tax (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CTA).Strong knowledge of UK Corporate Tax and ideally exposure to indirect tax.Experience working with an in house tax environmentExcellent organisational and problem-solving skills.Ability to effectively communicate complex tax matters to stakeholders and to support with tax training to the group.What's on OfferCompetitive basic salary commensurate with the role responsibilitiesOpportunity to work in a well-established organisation offering hybrid working.Comprehensive benefits package including generous car allowance, bonus, medical cover, and pension .Challenging and rewarding role work as part of a established in house function for a FTSE 250 company.If you are an experienced Group Tax Manager looking to advance your career, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
