My client is going through a very important transition period - as a result of this they are looking for someone to join them for 9-12 months as Head of Finance Business Partnering. This is such a key role for the finance team, and a fantastic opportunity to lead change.

Job Description

- Work with operational and functional leaders to provide strategic advice and challenge

- Identify and evaluate risks, opportunities and emerging business challenges - communicate these to key stakeholders to support effective decision making

- Lead, manage, coach and develop a team of Finance Business Partners, setting clear objectives for the team

- Lead business planning, forecasting, and performance review processes, and contribute to monthly business reviews with leadership.

- Maintain KPIs and performance reporting frameworks.

- Lead and support business transformation and change initiatives.

- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration (including Procurement, IT, Regulatory reporting, Treasury, Core Finance and Project Accounting) to deliver strategic priorities and organisational improvements

- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior leaders and operational teams

- Influence decision-making through insights, analysis, and data-driven recommendations

- Represent the business partnering function in key forums and governance meetings

The Successful Applicant

My client is looking for someone with the following experience:

  • Fully qualified accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
  • Strong strategic thinking and commercial acumen
  • Stakeholder management and influencing skills, particularly with senior leadership
  • Experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the organisation
  • Significant experience in a Business Partner, strategic analysis or management reporting and analysis role
  • The ability to start at short notice

- A day rate commensurate with experience, up to a maximum of £500 per day (Umbrella company) or £440 per day (paye)
