Job Description

  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial statements in compliance with relevant standards.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial data to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead and manage the financial accounting team, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Implement and maintain strong financial controls and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities as required.
  • Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Head of Financial Accounting should have:

  • A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience with financial reporting standards.
  • Higher Education experience is essential (specifically leading audit in HE)

What's on Offer

  • Daily rate between £500 and £600, dependent on the level of experience.
