The role is accountable for managing full programme lifecycles, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery, while driving governance, customer satisfaction and cross-functional alignment in line with business strategy and growth objectives.

Job Description

  • Head of Programmes, Basingstoke:
  • Lead and manage a portfolio of complex programmes from order to delivery
  • Ensure programmes are delivered on time, within budget and to quality standards
  • Establish and maintain robust programme governance, reporting and controls
  • Act as the senior point of contact for key customers and stakeholders
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration across engineering, operations and supply chain
  • Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring proactive issue resolution
  • Support business growth through effective programme execution and customer satisfaction
  • Lead, develop and coach programme management teams to high performance



The Successful Applicant

  • Head of Programmes, Basingstoke:
  • Proven experience in a senior programme leadership role within manufacturing
  • Significant experience within defence or aerospace sector
  • Strong track record managing complex, multi-disciplinary programmes
  • Experience in engineering-led or high-reliability manufacturing environments
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams
  • Strong commercial awareness with budget and cost control experience
  • Skilled in stakeholder management, including customer-facing leadership
  • Experience implementing programme governance and delivery frameworks
  • Ability to drive performance improvements and manage change effectively



What's on Offer

Salary of circa £90,000 to £120,000 dependant upon experience, plus a good overall package.
