As a Head Of Service & Installations in West Yorkshire, you will lead the management of new customer orders from post sale through to delivery. and installations. You will lead both the strategic and operational actives across a 50fte operation split across Order Management (Service) and Installations (field based engineers)

Job Description

  • Own the end-to-end customer fulfilment process from post-sale handover through to installation and project completion
  • Leadership of Order management team based internally, liaising with customer to manage updates and progress of order
  • Leadership of Field based Engineers responsible for installing new customer orders
  • Leadership of Scheduling team responsible for managing Engineer diaries, ensuring SLA's are achieved focused on timescales, first time install, and efficiency
  • Oversee installation scheduling, resource planning, and field service deployment
  • Ensure all products and services are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standard
  • Work closely with commercial and sales functions to understand contractual agreements, commercial expectations and ensure continuity of service post sale
  • Drive first-time installation success and minimise delays, rework, and customer disruption
  • Ensure seamless communication between Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Service teams
  • Monitor order progress and proactively manage risks, bottlenecks, and customer expectations
  • Ensure a market-leading customer experience throughout the delivery and installation life-cycle
  • Ensure commercial viability across installations, through thorough planning efficiency and understanding customer needs
  • Lead process improvement initiatives across order management, project delivery, and installation activities

The Successful Applicant

A successful Head Of Service & Installations should have:

  • Experience managing both order management and installations based teams
  • Proven experience leading service, installation, operations, or project delivery functions within an engineering, manufacturing, industrial, or technical environment
  • Leadership of field based engineers
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Budget management & P&L responsibility
  • Strong understanding of service delivery, scheduling, resource planning, and project execution
