The role of Head of Strategic Sourcing will work for a business operating across multiple Manufacturing Operations and a Far East Supply Chain, supplying into a Global Customer Base.

Job Description

The role of Head of Strategic Sourcing will be repsonsible:

Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to meet business objectives.
Identify and negotiate with suppliers to secure optimal terms and quality.
Monitor and manage supplier performance to ensure compliance and reliability.
Collaborate with internal teams to align procurement strategies with operational needs.
Analyse market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Ensure adherence to procurement policies and regulations.
Manage budgets effectively to achieve financial targets.
Lead and mentor the procurement team to enhance performance and capabilities.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Head of Strategic Sourcing should have:

Proven expertise in procurement and supply chain management within the industrial and manufacturing sector.
Experience of sourcing forgings, metals, electronics, castings or similar product categories would be beneficial
Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
Ability to develop and implement strategic sourcing plans.
Analytical mindset with a focus on cost optimisation.
Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
Comprehensive understanding of procurement policies and regulations.
