They are committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive working environment for their team members.Job DescriptionMonitor and manage rent accounts to ensure timely income collection.Engage with tenants to address rent arrears and agree on payment plans.Provide advice and support to tenants regarding financial matters and benefits.Work closely with internal teams to identify and resolve income-related issues.Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports on income collection activities.Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and organisational policies.Attend court hearings to represent the organisation in income-related cases.Contribute to the development of strategies to improve income collection rates.The Successful ApplicantA successful Housing Income Officer should have:Proven experience of undertaking a variety of administrative and financial tasks in a structured environment to support the delivery of services.Experience working in a customer facing role in a social housing and property management environment .Experience of presenting cases at court proceedings.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and meet deadlines.Competence in using relevant IT systems and software.A proactive and solution-focused approach to work.What's on OfferSalary package of £41,000 - £43,000 per annum.27 days holiday plus bank holidays, with additional leave accruing with service.Membership in the Local Government Pension Scheme.A supportive and inclusive working culture.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a small-sized property organisation in London.
