Job Description

  • Partner with managers to provide expert, practical advice on employee relations matters, enabling informed, consistent and commercially focused decision-making.
  • Guide and support managers through investigations, disciplinary and grievance procedures, ensuring fair, compliant and well-documented outcomes.
  • Assist in the effective management of attendance, performance and capability issues, promoting early intervention and long-term improvement.
  • Analyse HR data, metrics and trends to identify risks, support decision-making and drive targeted people initiatives.
  • Support end-to-end recruitment and onboarding activities, ensuring a positive, compliant and efficient candidate experience.
  • Contribute to the design and delivery of learning and development initiatives that enhance management capability and employee performance.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant HR records, ensuring processes meet regulatory requirements and are audit-ready.
  • Identify and support opportunities to improve HR processes, systems and ways of working, enhancing efficiency and service delivery.
  • Assist with employee engagement and internal communication activities, helping to foster a positive, inclusive and consistent employee experience.

The Successful Applicant

A successful HR Advisor should have:

  • Demonstrates sound judgement and the ability to make balanced, informed decisions while applying a strong understanding of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
  • Builds effective working relationships at all levels, communicating clearly and confidently to influence, support and constructively challenge managers, encouraging accountability and ownership.
  • Takes a proactive and solution-focused approach, assuming responsibility for issues and seeing them through to a successful resolution.
  • Utilises HR systems, data and insights to produce meaningful reporting, inform decision-making and deliver positive business outcomes.
  • Brings experience of working within a fast-paced operational environment, such as manufacturing, logistics or a similar setting, with the flexibility to support the needs of a 24/7 operation.
  • Confident in analysing people-related trends and metrics, using evidence-based recommendations to support continuous improvement and organisational performance.
  • Holds a recognised CIPD qualification, or is actively working towards achieving professional accreditation.
