Job Description

  • Support the weekly and monthly payroll processes, including starters, leavers, salary changes, overtime, deductions, and pay adjustments using our Civica HR/Payroll system.
  • Help ensure employees are paid correctly via BACS and assist with payslip distribution.
  • Support compliance with UK payroll legislation, including tax, National Insurance, and statutory payments.
  • Assist with PAYE and Real Time Information (RTI) submissions to HMRC.
  • Help administer the company pension scheme, including auto-enrolment, employee communications, and contribution submissions.
  • Monitor payroll cut-off dates and ensure payroll information is received on time.
  • Assist with year-end processes including P45s, P60s and P11Ds.
  • Update tax codes, attachments of earnings, and support payroll records maintenance.
  • Provide general payroll and HR administrative support as required.

The Successful Applicant

A successful HR and Payroll Administrator should have:

  • Previous experience in payroll or HR support
  • Knowledge of employment laws and payroll regulations.
  • Exposure to HR and payroll systems, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn
