Employees are encouraged to take ownership, think proactively and contribute beyond their day-to-day responsibilities.Job DescriptionReporting directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer, the HR Manager will act as the lead HR contact for the UK operation whilst also supporting a number of international locations. This is a varied and hands-on generalist role where no two days are the same.Working closely with managers across manufacturing, operational and corporate functions, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering HR support across every stage of the employee lifecycle whilst driving continuous improvement and building strong relationships throughout the organisation.Key responsibilities include:Acting as the first point of contact for managers and employees on a broad range of HR matters.Managing employee relations activity including performance, disciplinary, grievance, absence, probation and capability issues.Supporting organisational change, restructures and redundancy processes where required.Leading end-to-end recruitment activity and supporting workforce planning initiatives.Managing onboarding, contractual changes and employee lifecycle administration.Coordinating payroll inputs and ensuring employee data accuracy.Supporting learning and development, succession planning and management capability programmes.Managing employee engagement initiatives and company events.Producing HR reporting, analysing trends and providing meaningful insights to leaders.Maintaining and improving HR policies, processes and systems.Leading and supporting HR projects aligned to business growth and organisational development.Partnering with stakeholders at all levels, from frontline employees and supervisors through to senior leadership teams.This role combines operational HR delivery with genuine business partnering and will suit someone who enjoys balancing day-to-day HR activity with longer-term people initiatives and continuous improvement projects.The Successful ApplicantThe successful candidate will be an experienced HR generalist who enjoys working autonomously, building relationships and taking ownership of a broad HR remit.You are likely to demonstrate:Previous experience in a HR Manager, HR Business Partner or Senior HR Generalist role.Strong end-to-end employee lifecycle knowledge.Experience managing employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance cases.Recruitment experience and confidence managing hiring processes.Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.The ability to influence and communicate effectively with employees at all levels of an organisation.A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong attention to detail.Experience working with HR systems and people data.Strong organisational and project management skills.The confidence to work independently whilst collaborating closely with a wider team.Manufacturing, logistics, engineering or other operationally focused industry experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
