Job Description

  • Prepare and review financial reports and statements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Monitor budgets and provide financial analysis to support decision-making.
  • Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and public sector regulations.
  • Manage month-end and year-end financial close processes efficiently.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to improve financial systems and controls.
  • Provide support for audits, including preparation of required documentation.
  • Assist in forecasting and financial planning activities.
  • Handle ad hoc financial tasks as required to support the organisation's goals.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Interim Accountant should have:

  • Professional qualifications in accounting or finance.
  • Proven expertise in accounting and financial management within the public sector.
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
