Interim Finance Manager

Gloucester Temporary View Job Description
This role sits within a small finance team and is responsible for taking full ownership of all month end accounting/reporting as well as system and process improvement activities. This is also suited to someone who has worked in a manufacturing environment with experience of inventory management and product costing.
  • This is a 3-6 month day rate position
  • Based in Gloucester

Job Description

The key responsibilities within this role:· Deliver accurate and timely monthly management accounts and take ownership of the month-end close process

· Complete balance sheet reconciliations and maintain strong financial controls

· Prepare VAT returns

· Produce weekly cash flow forecasts

· Produce insightful sales, margin and profitability reporting

· Support budgeting, forecasting and business planning

· Develop KPI reporting for operational and senior management teams

· Identify opportunities to improve profitability and working capital

· Develop meaningful inventory reporting

· Improve stock controls and reporting accuracy

· Support implementation of an enhanced costing methodology

· Improve finance processes.

· Support automation and reporting improvements.

· Enhance management information.

· Help build a finance function capable of supporting the next stage of business growth

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate:

· ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified

· Experienced within manufacturing, distribution or another product-based business

· Commercially curious and naturally analytical.

· Comfortable working with colleagues outside Finance.

· Confident improving processes rather than simply maintaining them

  • Experience of inventory accounting, product costing or ERP systems would be a significant advantage



What's on Offer

This is a day rate position (inside IR35) and is paying a very competitive rate. Applicants should be based locally as this role requires 5 days a week onsite in Gloucester
