Due to ongoing operational requirements and a continued focus on performance improvement, they are seeking an experienced Interim Operations Manager to join their team in Coventry.Job DescriptionLeading manufacturing and operational teams to achieve business and site KPIs.Driving continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives across the facility.Ensuring compliance with all health & safety, quality and regulatory requirements.Managing labour utilisation, productivity improvements, waste reduction and operational costs.Developing, coaching and mentoring operational leaders to build capability and succession within the team.Working closely with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Planning, HR and Finance teams to achieve site objectives.Supporting operational transformation, capital investment projects and business improvement programmes.Monitoring operational budgets and implementing corrective actions where required.Driving efficiency, throughput, OTIF performance and customer service improvements.Supporting customer demands within highly regulated industrial, defence and aerospace environments.Creating a culture of accountability, engagement and continuous improvement across the operation.The Successful ApplicantA successful Interim Operations Manager should have:Significant experience within a senior manufacturing or operations leadership role.Previous experience in industrial manufacturing, aerospace, defence, engineering or precision manufacturing environments.Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production management and operational performance improvement.Demonstrated success in delivering productivity, efficiency and cost-reduction initiatives.Experience managing large operational teams through supervisors and team leaders.Strong knowledge of health & safety, quality management systems and regulatory compliance.Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or Operational Excellence methodologies.Strong commercial awareness with budget and cost centre management experience.Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.Degree, HND or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management or a related discipline would be advantageous.Lean Six Sigma, IOSH or NEBOSH qualifications would be beneficial.What's on OfferDaily rate of £500 to £600, dependent on the level of experience.Temporary contract with a focus on key operational improvements.Opportunity to work in Coventry within the industrial and manufacturing sector.Weekly pay.Ongoing temporary assignment with potential for long-term extension.Immediate start available.Senior leadership role within an established manufacturing organisation.Opportunity to lead key operational improvement initiatives.Collaborative and supportive working environment.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Interim Operations Manager to join a well-established industrial manufacturer in Coventry and play a key role in driving operational performance, continuous improvement and business growth.If you're interested in this Interim Operations Manager role, apply now.People are at the heart of Michael Page.
