Job Description

  • Lead, plan and deliver a range of internal audit engagements across public sector and corporate clients
  • Manage end-to-end audit assignments, reporting directly to senior leadership
  • Coach and develop junior team members, supporting their progression into well-rounded risk and control specialists
  • Take ownership of client relationships, ensuring a high-quality and value-added service delivery
  • Monitor budgets, manage project financials and agree fees for assignments
  • Contribute to the continued growth of the function through business development activities
  • Provide clients with practical insights, recommendations and sector best practice



These responsibilities reflect a role that extends beyond delivery, offering exposure to leadership, client strategy and commercial decision making.

The Successful Applicant

  • Professionally qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIA or equivalent)
  • Proven experience managing a portfolio of audit clients across public sector, not-for-profit or corporate environments
  • Strong technical internal audit knowledge combined with a commercial mindset
  • Experience leading teams and developing junior staff
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels
  • Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • A desire to play an active role in the growth of a business and shape a developing audit function
