As a Junior Finance Business Partner in Reading, you'll play a key role in the public sector, assisting with financial planning, budgeting, and analysis to help guide decision-making. This temporary role is all about ensuring the smooth financial operation of the organisation by providing accurate and timely financial insights.
  • Hybrid working - 2 days on site a week and 9 day fortnights

Job Description

  • Assist in preparing and monitoring budgets, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
  • Provide detailed financial analysis to support decision-making processes.
  • Collaborate with various teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and forecasting.
  • Support the preparation of financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Review and analyse financial data to identify trends and variances.
  • Help implement financial controls and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Work closely with senior finance professionals to support strategic planning activities.
  • Respond to ad-hoc financial queries and provide insights as required.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Junior Finance Business Partner should have:

  • A background in accounting or finance, with relevant qualifications or certifications.
  • Experience in financial planning, budgeting, or analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, with a good understanding of spreadsheets.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with different teams.
  • An organised and detail-oriented approach to handling financial data.
  • Knowledge of public sector financial regulations and practices is advantageous.
