Job Description

  • Manage leasehold property processes, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
  • Provide advice and support on leasehold-related matters to stakeholders and residents.
  • Prepare and issue service charge budgets and statements to leaseholders.
  • Carry out informal and statutory Section 20 consultations with leaseholders for all major works schemes
  • Assist in resolving leasehold disputes and liaise with legal teams when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for leasehold properties.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of leasehold management strategies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless service delivery for leaseholders.
  • Support senior team members and deputise when required.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Leasehold Development Officer should have:

  • Strong understanding of leasehold legislation, including Section 20 consultation requirements.
  • Experience working in a leasehold, housing management, legal, or property services role.
  • Knowledge of Landlord obligations key clauses typically found in residential leases.
  • Ability to handle complex issues and provide clear solutions.
  • Super excel user with exposure to QL or PMS systems.
  • Major works processes, cost allocation principles and Service charges
  • A collaborative approach to working with colleagues and stakeholders.
