Save Job Back to Search Job Description Summary Similar JobsManagement Accountant - OldhamWell-established and growing business, exciting time to join the company!About Our ClientI am seeking a talented Management Accountant to join a growing finance team of an ambitious, fast-growing business based in Oldham.Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will take ownership of the production of accurate and timely monthly management accounts, supporting financial reporting across a growing international group.This is a hands-on role at the heart of the business, with responsibility across management reporting, month-end, financial control and commercial analysis. Working closely with the Financial Controller and Finance Director, you will help improve the quality of reporting, strengthen financial controls and identify opportunities to improve processes across the finance function.Job DescriptionThe key responsibilities of a Management Accountant will be:Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and variance analysisOwn month-end close, including journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations across multiple entitiesManage FX transactions and revaluations across UK, EU and US entitiesPrepare ad-hoc reporting for senior leadership and founder-ownersPrepare VAT and support statutory/regulatory submissionsAnalyse high-volume sales data across multiple platformsSupport intercompany accounting, multi-currency consolidation and internal controlsAssist with external auditors and advisorsProvide margin analysisPartner with commercial, buying, operations and supply chain teams on financial performance and cost controlOptimise Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and improve finance processesIdentify automation opportunities, including AI, to improve reporting and month-endImprove the quality and accuracy of management informationSupport and mentor junior finance team membersThe Successful ApplicantThe successful Management Accountant will be:Part-qualified or newly qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACA statusProven experience preparing monthly management accounts from start to finishStrong month-end experience, including journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliationsGood understanding of P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reportingStrong Excel skills, including lookups and pivot tablesExcellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and deadlinesStrong analytical skills with the ability to investigate and explain variancesConfident communication skills and the ability to work with non-finance teamsA proactive, inquisitive and commercially focused approachExperience within e-commerce, consumer products or an import-led business would be advantageousThe ideal candidate will be diligent, inquisitive and commercially minded, with experience working in a fast-paced SME or group environment.What's on Offer£38,000-£45,000 salary, depending on experienceDiscretionary bonusFully office-based in OldhamStudy supportFree on site car parkingFlexible core working hoursA varied role with genuine commercial exposure with opportunity to work within a growing international businessScope to develop and progress within the finance functionThe opportunity to make a real impact on processes, reporting and financial performanceContactDillon RobertsQuote job refJN-082026-7082693Phone number+441618290422Job summaryJob functionAccountingSubsectorManagement AccountantSectorRetailWhereOldhamContract typePermanentConsultant nameDillon RobertsConsultant phone+441618290422Job referenceJN-082026-7082693
