Job Description

  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage budgeting processes and provide variance analysis.
  • Support financial planning and forecasting activities.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end financial close processes.
  • Monitor and reconcile accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist with audits and liaise with auditors as required.
  • Provide financial insights to support organisational objectives.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Management Accountant should have:

  • Professional accounting qualifications e.g. ACCA, CIMA etc.
  • Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis.
  • Experience with restricted funding and accounting is essential
  • Experience within the not-for-profit sector is essential
  • Previous experience managing a team is essential
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards and regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
