This role is within a company operating in the industrial and manufacturing sector, based in Chester.

Job Description

  • Monitor and manage stock levels to ensure materials are available for production needs.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Maintain accurate records of materials and inventory data.
  • Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to optimise stock management processes.
  • Identify and resolve any supply chain or inventory issues promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding materials handling.
  • Prepare and present regular inventory and stock reports to stakeholders.
  • Support cost-saving initiatives by managing inventory effectively.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Materials Controller should have:

  • Previous experience in inventory or materials management within the industrial or manufacturing sector.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software or ERP/MRP systems.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with suppliers and teams.
  • An understanding of procurement and supply chain processes.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and improving processes.
