Job Description

Mechanical Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer, Reading:

* Provide technical support for the manufacture of electro-mechanical products and spare parts

* Lead sustaining engineering projects from initial concept through to implementation and verification

* Identify and implement product and process improvements within manufacturing operations

* Support engineering change activities covering both product designs and manufacturing processes

* Establish, maintain and transfer manufacturing lines, including new production line introductions

* Manage engineering documentation in accordance with quality management requirements

* Work cross-functionally to investigate root causes and resolve manufacturing and product issues

* Contribute to continuous improvement activities focused on operational performance and project effectivenessThis job is NOT a Design Engineer role

The Successful Applicant

Mechanical Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer, Reading:

* HNC, HND or Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline

* Experience within manufacturing engineering, sustaining engineering or operational engineering roles

* Knowledge of plastic injection moulding, manual assembly and product test processes - Highly desirable but not essential

* Understanding of validation and verification activities associated with engineering changes

* Experience using 3D CAD modelling software - Highly desirable but not essential

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured and accountable approachPlease note: Unfortunately sponsorship will not be available for this role. The client needs you to already have the right to work in the UK for a minimum of three years.
