With a strong commitment to innovation, sustainability and employee development, Imerys offers stable long-term careers, excellent benefits and opportunities for professional growth within a collaborative and safety-focused working environment.Job DescriptionCarry out planned preventative maintenance on industrial plant and equipmentDiagnose and repair electrical faults to minimise downtimeRespond promptly to breakdowns and production-critical issuesRead and interpret electrical drawings and schematicsWork safely in accordance with company health and safety proceduresSupport continuous improvement initiatives across the siteAssist with mechanical maintenance activities as part of a cross-skilled engineering teamMaintain accurate maintenance records and documentationContribute to plant reliability and operational performanceParticipate in standby and call-out arrangements when requiredThe Successful ApplicantQualified in Electrical Engineering through NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, BTEC Level 3 or a recognised apprenticeshipExperience within manufacturing, production, processing or heavy industrial environmentsStrong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skillsExperience working with motors, drives, control panels and industrial electrical systemsKnowledge of planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance activitiesAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and schematicsStrong understanding of electrical safety and isolation proceduresWillingness to develop mechanical skills and work within a multi-skilled engineering teamPositive, proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvementPLC fault-finding, 18th Edition, HNC/HND, welding or SAP experience would be advantageousWhat's on OfferWhat We OfferAt Imerys, our engineering roles are about more than maintenance.
