This is an exciting opportunity for a Part Qualified Assistant Accountant to join the Energy & Natural Resources industry in Edinburgh. The role involves supporting the Accounting & Finance department with key financial tasks on a temporary basis.

Job Description

  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with financial policies.
  • Assist in budget preparation and monitoring.
  • Process invoices, payments, and expense claims.
  • Provide support during audits and financial reviews.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Part Qualified Assistant Accountant should have:

  • Progress towards a recognised accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
  • Experience in a similar role within the Accounting & Finance department.
  • A solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
