Save Job Back to Search Job Description Summary Similar JobsPart-time role 3 days a weekFlexible hybrid workingAbout Our ClientA not for profit and charities organisation based in London, focused on delivering contribution in its sector.Job DescriptionLead the annual audit process, acting as the main point of contact for external auditors and ensuring all requirements are delivered accurately and on time.Take ownership of statutory accounts preparation and year-end reporting.Manage all VAT returns and provide expert advice on VAT compliance within a not-for-profit environment.Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory, financial, and charity reporting requirements.Prepare monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations.Oversee financial controls and identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies.Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management activities.Work closely with senior stakeholders to provide financial insight and support decision-making.Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, and governance requirements.Assist with finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation.The Successful ApplicantA successful Part-Time Financial Accountant should have:Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).Strong experience managing audits from planning through to completion.Excellent knowledge of VAT and regulatory compliance.Previous experience within the not-for-profit, charity, education, or public sector environment is advantageous.Strong technical accounting skills with attention to detail.Ability to work independently in a part-time capacity while managing multiple priorities.Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management experience.What's on OfferPart-Time Financial Accountant roleSalary: Up to £55,000 dependent on the level of experience.Permanent part-time position based in London.Opportunities to make a meaningful contribution in the not-for-profit sector.If you're interested in this role, apply now.People are at the heart of Michael Page.
