Job Description

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing for a portfolio of clients, ensuring all deadlines are consistently met
  • Accurately process payroll data, including client changes, within agreed timescales
  • Submit RTI Full Payment Submissions (FPS) on or before pay dates
  • Administer workplace pensions, including communications, opt-outs, uploads, and payments
  • Respond to client queries promptly, professionally, and accurately
  • Maintain clear and up-to-date records of all client communications and payroll activity
  • Monitor workflow systems and ensure daily task completion
  • Manage additional work requests, ensuring they are quoted and approved in advance
  • Support invoicing processes and ensure timely billing
  • Maintain compliance with internal procedures, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements



The Successful Applicant

  • Proven experience in a payroll role, ideally within a bureau or accountancy practice
  • Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation, including RTI and workplace pensions
  • Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Confident communicator with a client-focused approach
  • Ability to work efficiently and manage time effectively
