As Payroll Administrator, you will support the accurate and timely end-to-end delivery of payroll in line with statutory requirements, working closely with the Payroll Manager and wider team. You will maintain accurate records, ensure attention to detail, and contribute to continuous improvement within the payroll function.

Job Description

Payroll Assistant

    • Support the accurate and timely processing of payroll data, ensuring records are maintained in line with statutory requirements.
    • Assist with reconciliations, variance checks, month‑end processes, and the preparation of routine payroll reports for review and sign‑off.
    • Maintain statutory payroll records and support compliance checks, including National Minimum Wage and other regulatory requirements.
    • Support the administration of pensions and statutory leave and payments, ensuring accurate records and timely submissions.
    • Respond to payroll queries, provide payroll information to colleagues and managers, and escalate issues where appropriate.
    • Provide basic system support to ensure payroll-related data is entered accurately.
    • Assist the Payroll Manager and other team members with ad‑hoc tasks and projects, contributing to continuous improvement of payroll processes.



The Successful Applicant

A successful Payroll Assistant should have:

  • Previous experience in payroll processing
  • Proficiency in payroll systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling payroll data
  • Knowledge of relevant payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • A proactive and problem-solving mindset.
