City of London Temporary £179 - £200 per day View Job Description
As a Principle Finance Officer, you will support the delivery of financial planning, budget setting, budget monitoring, forecasting, financial reporting and the annual statement of accounts process. You will apply technical accounting knowledge, financial systems expertise and an understanding of local government finance to support effective decision-making and ensure compliance with corporate policies, statutory requirements and professional standards.

Job Description

  • Provide financial advice, budget management and business partnering support to managers and budget holders.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting, delivering analysis, insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
  • Support statutory accounts, financial governance, risk management and continuous improvement of financial controls and processes.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Principle Finance Officer' should have:

  • AAT Qualified or equivalent relevant work experience and training.
  • Local government experience
