Job Description

The role sits within Procurement Compliance & Performance and has a strong governance, compliance, and assurance focus. It will include providing practical procurement advice across the business; supporting below-threshold activity; advising on appropriate routes, waivers, approvals and governance; supplier onboarding and due diligence; Procurement Act 2023 and transparency requirements; supporting contract management best practice; audit and assurance activity; and helping us to develop and embed procurement systems, processes, templates and guidance.

The Successful Applicant

From a candidate perspective, I'm looking for someone who is proactive, organised and solutions-focused, with strong attention to detail and the confidence to engage with stakeholders, provide practical advice and appropriately challenge where required. Public sector procurement experience, a good working knowledge of the Procurement Act 2023 and experience of procurement governance/audit and assurance are particularly important.Housing experience, CIPS and experience of specific procurement systems would be advantageous rather than essential.
