Job Description

The role of Procurement Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Lead sourcing, tendering, and supplier negotiations across key ingredient categories.
  • Develop and execute category strategies that deliver commercial value and supply continuity.
  • Build and manage supplier relationships, driving performance improvements and mitigating risks.
  • Identify cost-saving and value-creation opportunities across the supply base.
  • Support dual-sourcing initiatives and supplier diversification programmes.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Finance, Commercial, Supply Chain, and Product Development teams.
  • Monitor market trends and provide procurement insights to support business decisions.
  • Maintain accurate supplier, contract, and pricing information within ERP systems

The Successful Applicant

The likely candidate will have the following background:

  • Proven procurement, sourcing, or category management experience within FMCG, food manufacturing, ingredients, packaging, or a related sector.
  • Strong negotiation, supplier management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Commercially minded with the ability to identify opportunities for cost reduction and value creation.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using ERP or procurement systems.
  • CIPS qualification, or working towards one, would be advantageous
